Activity 2: Farm animals

At the supermarket!

In this activity you are going to learn vocabulary about farm animals. First of all, your teacher will show you this link in the Interactive Blackboard:

Then, your teacher will show you pictures about food in the Interactive Blackboard. You have to talk about where they come from.

Work in groups of five people (at most). Are you ready? You are going to use Google Docs to make a presentation. This presentation must include food images and you have to talk about where they come from. You can use this link to see different types of food: Tesco. On line shopping. For example: 

• Cheese. It could be from a goat or a cow.

You can use these sites to find some pictures:

• Creative Commons.
• Mediateca.
• Pics4Learning.

When you finish, you will share your presentation with your teacher.

The farmer

In this activity you are going to make a presentation with Impress. You are the farmer. You have to write about 5 animals that you have got in your farm. Use one slide for each animal. You have to include these things in your slides:

• Insert a picture. You can use these links to find some pictures.
• Intef Images and Sounds Repository.
• Creative Commons.
• Mediateca.
• Pics4Learning.
• Write the name of the animal.
• Write about the animal. You have to write a little description, of about 5 sentences. If you can, try and point out what kind of food this animal gives, if any.
• Read the description aloud and record your voice using Audacity.

Once you have finished, send your presentation and your audio to your teacher via email.
